Tools

Free developer tools that run entirely in your browser.

What these tools do

These tools produce secrets and identifiers you can trust without sending anything to a server. Generation happens in your browser through the Web Crypto API, nostr-tools and standards-based libraries, so the values you see never leave your device and are not logged, cached or transmitted anywhere. The pages are static, load no third-party scripts and keep working if you save them or use them offline.

How to use them

  1. Open the tool you need from the list above.
  2. Generate the value — everything is computed locally, so you can disconnect first if you want a guarantee.
  3. Copy the result straight into your configuration, password manager or terminal; nothing is stored on this site.

Tools API for agents and scripts

The UUID/ULID and NIP-19 converters are available as public JSON endpoints, so scripts and AI agents can produce the same values without a browser. The endpoints are documented with an OpenAPI 3.0 description at /openapi.json, return JSON only, and require no authentication or API key.

  • GET /api/tools/uuid?version=7&count=5 — Returns JSON with UUID v4, UUID v7 or ULID values in the requested quantity and format.
  • GET /api/tools/nip19?value=npub1... — Returns JSON with the decoded public fields of a NIP-19 identifier, or the npub/note encodings of a hex key.

Key, password and seed phrase generation stay browser-only: those secrets are never sent to a server.

FAQ

Are the generated keys random enough for production?
Yes. Secret keys come from the browser's cryptographically secure random source, the same primitive used by openssl rand and by password managers, and 32 bytes gives 256 bits of entropy.
Do I need an account, and is there a limit?
No account, no sign-up and no usage limit: the generators run entirely on your device. The JSON endpoints are public and best-effort rate-limited to keep them available for everyone.
Can I use the outputs commercially?
Yes. Keys you generate are yours. The tools themselves are free to use, including in commercial projects and automated pipelines.
